Computedtomography(CT)hasbeenthemainnoninvasivediagnostictechniqueforevaluatinglunglesions.AlthoughmultidetectorCT(MDCT)enablessimultaneousincreasedz-axiscoverageandthinnerslicecollimation,largenumbersofaxialimagesaregeneratedbyMDCT,whichleadstoreviewerfatigueduringinterpretation(1).Humanperceptualerrors,therefore,currentlyseemtobeoneofthemostsignificantlimitingfactorsinthedetectionofsmalllunglesions(2).Boneisoneofthemost
